Hostel services: food, laundry, housekeeping, security, staff and tech

RoomPe delivers six service lines inside every hostel and residence it runs: food, laundry, housekeeping, security, staff (wardens, housemasters and property managers) and technology (the RoomPe and MealPe apps). They come under one contract and one invoice, as the full stack or as modules.

Which services does RoomPe deliver?

Six services cover everything that happens inside a hostel or worker residence. Food and laundry are the services residents notice first, housekeeping and security keep the building safe and clean, staff run it day to day, and technology makes every bed, meal and complaint visible.

How do the services fit into C.A.R.T?

Services are organised under C.A.R.T, RoomPe’s service architecture. Food, laundry, housekeeping and security sit in Amenities. Staffing and maintenance sit in Residences. The apps, dashboards and MIS sit in Technology. Community programming adds the layer that makes residents recommend the hostel.

Frequently asked questions

Can I take only some RoomPe services?

Yes. Scope is fixed per site: an institution or employer can take the full stack or only the modules its hostel or residence needs. Each module is tracked against its own measures and reported in the monthly MIS. When food is in scope, RoomPe always runs it itself.

Does RoomPe use subcontractors for food or security?

RoomPe runs food itself: central kitchens and messes are never sub-let to a contractor. Security, housekeeping and laundry teams are hired, trained and verified against a defined manpower structure agreed before mobilisation, and RoomPe handles their HR compliance, so the client has one accountable operator instead of separate agencies. [VERIFY: confirm whether any security or housekeeping is sourced through agencies]

How are services billed?

Under one contract and one invoice. RoomPe is the single point of accountability for every service on site, and the monthly MIS supports billing with meal counts, occupancy and service records. The client does not receive separate bills from caterers, security agencies or housekeeping vendors.
